Family Portraits: The Guynn's.

These "kids" are some of the most awesome people you will ever meet. They wanted to do a photoshoot for their parents as a Christmas gift. Which was pretty sweet since they're all out doing different  things, some of them even in different states, ahem, Kelly.  I loved photographing them, because they all love each other, and they love Jesus. And you can tell. That's the way that I think we all should strive to be. I was excited to shoot this family especially because Kelly is a photographer too (check her out here please!) And i knew that they would be up for anything, even jay- walking on 7th street! haha. Hope You enjoy the photos.

Robert, Kelly, Katy, and Matty I wish you all the best in 2011 and beyond that! Thank you for choosing me as your photographer, I was so happy to get to spend the morning with you, and I hope we can hang out again soon! Love You All.

Ty

Finally Feels like Christmas.

I arrived home from school the other night and I was delighted to see that my dad and sister had worked hard all day to put up the Christmas lights and "Rhaylee's Tree". My dad used to not put up Christmas lights at our house. Much to my dismay, because I love Christmas as much as Buddy the Elf does! But last year was a little different because it was our niece Rhaylee's first Christmas. Rhaylee and my dad have a special bond, they like to read books and nap together, and she has completely stolen his heart. So he built a giant tree of lights outside our house, just for her. Coming home and seeing this tree finally made me truly feel like the Christmas season has begun. I hope you're enjoying the season!

Portraits: Clarisse.

Clarisse and I went to elementary school together, and we were good friends until 6th grade. She used to call me her "little sister" and I even still have a note from her when we were young. After she graduated 6th grade, we lost touch until we were lucky enough to have our paths cross again. Clarisse is actually one of my boyfriend's best friends. And so I'm now lucky enough to get to spend time with my Big Sis when she is home from UCSD. Clarisse really is the whole package, she is sweet and smart, and totally gorgeous. It was so much fun to get to shoot her, and she was a total trooper through the freezing temperatures and wind. (I'm totally jealous of how pretty she looks when she's freezing. I on the other hand look like a blonde version of Rudolph. haha.)

Clarisse--Beautiful lady, you are amazing! So please NEVER let anyone get you down, "they're just hating on you cause you're dope!"(Step Up 2). I love you bunches! Thank you for letting me photograph you, and for being so awesome.

Love,
Ty

Portraits: Kristen Booth.

Today I got the chance to go on a little photography outing with my dear friend Kristen Booth. I met Kristen in March this year, and she has taken me under her wing and taught me so much. If I hadn't met her I definitely wouldn't be where I am today, or even anywhere close. I'm so blessed to know so many awesome photographers who are willing to share their priceless knowledge and support me! She is an incredible photographer, so please be sure to check out her blog here! I was excited to get to take Kristen's photos today for 2 reasons:
1.) Kristen is practically a professional model. One of the few photographers I know who likes to be both behind and in front of the camera!
2.) I recently bought a Canon EOS 1D Mark III, and I really wanted to take it out and see what it can do!
So folks, here you have it. The gorgeous Kristen Booth.

Christmas Spirit.

I'm feeling it. I absolutely love the holidays. I love all of the lights, trees, sweaters, boots, and the massive amounts of desserts. But beyond that I love the feeling of Christmastime. More than any other time of the year, we count our blessings and hold our loved ones near. I love the way that we all come together in love, and we celebrate family and the joy of spending another year together.
Last night, I was on my way home and saw the special house that lights up and plays music that I like to visit each year. It was the first night I had seen it  light up this year, so I decided to stop for a bit and enjoy the beginning of the Holidays. I snapped a few photos before I headed home. Hope you're enjoying this special time of year!

I really enjoyed getting to photograph them in front of their Christmas tree, I'm definitely getting into the Christmas Spirit!
