On March 15th.

So I haven't been shooting much out here in Texas. Yesterday I decided I needed a project, so I went to a local nursery & bought some plants for the pots outside my door! I really enjoy working with flowers, I always find it so relaxing and I'm proud of the results! My little brother and I had a great morning playing catch outside & enjoying our new flowers. Then I decided I wanted to do a bit of shooting, so I had my camera around the house for a few minutes and snapped photos of the dogs and my brother. I've been reading Roberto Valenzuela's book Picture Perfect Practice, so consider this my practice. :)

I took a few shots of the dogs after I finished with the flowers. This is Miss Bebe.

She does a lot every day! Like bark at the stairs...

Hide behind the table...

Scratch behind her ears...

And lay by the ottoman waiting for the Mister to get home!

Then I took a few shots of my running buddy Miss Maxine.

Then I sneaked {snuck??} upstairs to take a few shots of my little brother in his natural habitat!

Then he noticed me...

Welp, that's about it for my practice. :)

Zach + Elisabeth: Engaged!

I am so excited to be posting this session right now! Not only because it is of an absolutely awesome couple, but also because it is my first Texas session! When Elisabeth and I scheduled this session I was a bit nervous because we would be shooting between 10-12... Not ideal lighting conditions. But I was fresh off of the WPPI train, and I knew that this was as good a time as any to challenge myself and jump in! I am so glad we did! We started the session on an absolutely beautiful morning and as the day went on things got better & better. The day was filled with lots of smiles, inside jokes, sweet looks and sweet kisses. Which made my day full of goofy jokes, high fives & happy dances.
Zach & Elisabeth, thank you for choosing me to be your photographer. I had such a blast photographing you guys and seeing your sweet love in front of my camera. Thanks for putting up with all my crazy ideas and silly jokes. I hope you love your photos and can't wait for your wedding day! I'm so looking forward to seeing what God has in store for your marriage & new life together.
