The Gift of Time 2011. {Part 2}

So you may or may not remember my past post of our families "Pirate Party!" {Say that 5 times fast! haah}. Well, this month was my family's turn to host the party. Our theme? 1920's Murder Mystery. The day before the party was spent slaving away in the kitchen {which I love!} preparing a gourmet 5 course meal! We had such a good time getting ready for the party we knew it was going to be a blast.

The play was set at a wine festival in the late 1920's.  The family all dressed up and mingled with the time's most respected wine entrepreneurs, enthusiasts, journalists, and even a few celebrities. 5 years earlier at the wine festival the Vineyard's owner Barry went missing. The mystery is set off when an earthquake resurfaces the body and a Murder needs to be solved! We had a blast acting out out parts surrounded by delicious food, wines, and music from the family Victrola floating through the air. I wont give away too much about the story.. Because after all the hard work my brother did writing in 14 parts, I am definitely hoping we may be able to use it again! Whose in? :)

Without further adieu, my family, in 1920's awesomeness.

P.S. This promises to be a rather long post... Consider yourself warned. :)

  3. Giving the "Gift of Time" for Christmas is by far the best present I think any of us have ever received. Putting together the characters and details of this party was a wonderful way to remember each and every member of our family in their own special way. Of course, you documented it beautifully and just looking through these photos make the viewer feel like they were actually there. Great job, photo-gal! I love you so much!
